Tax Fun in April
uuApril means tax time for most adult workers in the United States. Believe it or not, I actually do not mind doing my taxes. Not fun to pay them, but to actually prepare my taxes is sort of entertaining. In a whew I'm glad that's done what an accomplishment sort of way. I don't use software to do my taxes. I use the online forms on the IRS and state tax sites, I print them out, do them by hand in pencil, then I use the editable forms online to prepare and print out. Then I mail them snail mail fashion.
I know I'm an anachronism in this age of tax help software and e-file, but what can I say, I'm an old fashioned masochistic kind of guy and a bit of a control freak I suppose.I just need to know that I've done the work and have the satisfaction of being not only a self-made man, but a self-reliant one as well.

Sharing Discoveries About The Internet
I've created this blog to share some interesting sites and resources that I come across on the Internet. I've been using the web for well over a decade, it's almost frightening how long I have been online! I remember the days of dial up access, and in fact I used to do a lot of business including web development over a POTs service (plain old telephone line).
One of the first interesting services that I used in my early web business was bbedit, a text editor for the Mac. I love Macs and use them almost exclusively. In the past 20 years I've had 3 macs, including the laptop I'm typing this on. In the same time I have used and destroyed probably 5 PCs. Macs simply last longer and can take more abuse than most PCs that I've used.
Anyway, I'm just gonna wrap this up for now and wish all well for everyone. Will write more soon.
